Y'all gon' make me lose my mind up in here, up in here

On a flight in January, Nate and I wrote down a list of things we want/need to do to the house. Are you ready for it? I haven’t looked at it since writing this post and it kind of makes me lose my mind. Thanks DMX for the song and now it’s stuck in my head.

BEFORE MOVE IN
Refrigerator
Spray for bugs
Hire movers
Floors refinished
CGFI Outlets Swapped in Kitchen
Kitchen sink faucet
1/2 bath sink unclogged


MINOR PROJECTS
Replace stairway carpet
Patch roof
Remove wallpaper in all rooms (Living room, kitchen, full bath)
Paint interior including molding (Living room, mudroom, trim in dining room)
Peel and stick tiles in kitchen, mudroom, 1/2 bath
Replace front porch light
Replace kitchen light
Install ceiling fans in 1-2 bedrooms
Whole house fan (scheduled for June 5th!)
Closet organization system
Landscaping in front and back yards also add raised beds for garden
Replace shelves in basement with deeper shelves for more function
Scrape and repaint concrete front porch
Strip and restore stair bannister
Insulate attic

Clear out raised bed behind garage and plant garden
Remove dead trees, trim trees, tidy yard

MAJOR PROJECTS
Electrical Wiring Updated (figure out what we need and don’t need)
New Furnace, add A/C (?)
Renovate Full Bathroom
Paint Exterior (scrape and remediate lead paint)
Replace Roof
Hardscaping backyard near fire place (pavers and pergola?)
New Garage possibly add an in-law unit
Knock down wall between kitchen and dining room, install island with new stove, pendant lights, barstools, etc. Move ceiling light in dining room over new location of kitchen table
Add stackable laundry, reroute washer

Take out dining room windows on South wall and replace with French doors
Build deck off of dining room

I think this is enough to keep us busy for years, if not decades. It will be fun to see how it evolves over time.Undoubtedly, we will also be adding to this list.
