A Sweet, Sweet Delta Breeze
After a short hiatus from blogging due to attending a family
wedding in Sonoma County over the weekend, I am excited to share with you the most amazing thing to
happen to our 99 year old house. We installed a house fan!!! It is awesome!
Since we don’t have air conditioning in our house, we knew
we needed to do something to beat the summer heat in Woodland. It's low cost, super-efficient,
and oh so comfortable. We couldn’t be happier.
Nate and I were like little kids the first day we had it installed: “Is it time, yet? Time to turn it on yet? Do you think it's cool enough outside to turn it on? Do you?” So nerdy. It's called "The Delta Breeze" and it was installed by The Fan Man.

As with most old house improvements, not everything is simple. The night before installation, we removed the wallpaper from
the ceiling and discovered this hiding under the paper.
Wah-wah. Maybe I will change the blog's name to "Two Steps Forward And One Step Back."
Thanks to an incredible neighbor, we have already contacted a plaster repairman and he’s coming to fix the ceiling in a couple of weeks.
Now back to enjoying our sweet, sweet Delta Breeze.
